State of the Region 2024
After a period of uncertainty, the future of the Peel Region appears to be secure following the Province of Ontario's decision to shelve dissolution plans. Even for those who celebrate this news, it's crucial we do not to lose sight of the inefficiencies that were uncovered.
Join us on Monday, June 24th, for a 3 course Luncheon, as we hear from key leaders of the Region of Peel and learn more about the state of the region and where we go from here. Check out our Digital Program for more information
We're excited to hear from our keynote speaker Nando Iannicca, Regional Chair and Chief Executive Officer at the Region, who will be speaking to the importance of regional governance in light of last year's debate on dissolution. He will also be sharing his vision for what we can be looking forward to as a unified Region.
Gary Kent, Chief Administrative Officer of the Region of Peel, will be sitting down with Jaipaul Massey-Singh, CEO of the Brampton Board of Trade, to discuss regional opportunities and challenges as we await recommendations from the transition board. There are a number of exciting things to look forward to in Caledon, Brampton, and Mississauga, and this fireside chat will explore how the Region can best advocate for the three municipalities.
This event will also be showing appreciation to Peel Region's Finest in awarding the Peel Region Police Service Award.
