Here is a brief background of our speakers:

Mayor Linda Jeffrey
Mayor Linda Jeffrey has over twenty years of experience in the municipal and provincial public service, serving as Brampton City Councillor for four consecutive terms from 1991-2003 and subsequently being elected to the Ontario Legislative Assembly for three consecutive terms representing Brampton Centre and Brampton-Springdale.
From 2010-2014, Mayor Jeffrey served as Minister of Natural Resources, Minister of Labour, Minister Responsible for Seniors, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing and Chair of Cabinet. Mayor Jeffrey has lived in Brampton for over thirty years and has three sons who were all born at Peel Memorial Hospital. She became Mayor of Brampton on December 1st, 2014.

Matthew Anderson
Matthew Anderson is the President and Chief Executive Officer of William Osler Health System (Osler), one of the largest community hospital systems in Canada, serving a population of 1.3 million in one of the fastest growing and most culturally diverse regions in the country. Osler is composed of three hospital sites: Etobicoke General, Brampton Civic, Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Local Health and Wellness. Matt previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Toronto Central Local Health Integration Network (LHIN). Prior to his role at the LHIN, Matt was Senior Vice- President of Performance and Technology at University Health Network.

Mark Brown
Mark Brown is Managing Editor, Reports and Rankings at MoneySense and Canadian Business magazines. In this role he oversees some of the largest and most widely read reports produced by these magazines including Best Places to Live, Best Deals in Real Estate and the Charity 100 for MoneySense, as well as the Investor 500 and the 100 Wealthiest People in Canada for Canadian Business. He has been nominated for a National Magazine Award, as well as several Canadian Online Publishing and Kenneth R. Wilson Awards. Mark has an undergraduate degree in politics from the University of Western Ontario and a masters degree in journalism from the University of British Columbia.
